General Dentistry
We know how important it is to get convenient dental services right here in your home town. We’ve worked hard to bring you a wide range of treatment options that we can deliver to you without a long commute. Best of all, you can get thoughtful and thorough dental care from people who live and work in your community.
Oral Cancer Screening
We use several tools and techniques to screen patients for oral cancer when they come in for a dental examination. If you have possible symptoms of oral cancer, such as lumps or swelling on the mouth or cheeks, white spots in the mouth, or unusual pain, bleeding, or numbness in the mouth, you should book a dental appointment as soon as possible. Our dental team will walk through your medical and dental history and perform a simple exam of your mouth, neck, and head to check for signs of oral cancer.
Dental Sealants
We’re dedicated to preventative dentistry, and dental sealants are one of the ways we can help you prevent cavities. Dental sealants are a thin, plastic-like substance that is painted onto the teeth and hardened with a special light. They are designed to create a solid coating that prevents bacteria from working their way into the teeth (which is what causes cavities). Dental sealants are usually used on the molars, where broad chewing surfaces and fine ridges can hold bacteria.
Digital Dental X-Rays
A dental x-ray gives our dental team a more detailed look into your oral health. We use digital x-rays to look at the hard and soft tissues of the mouth. This helps us diagnose issues and plan treatments. We can also compare new dental x-rays to old ones, helping us understand how your oral health changes over the years. Dental x-rays use a very low level of radiation, but if you have questions or if you are pregnant or going through medical treatment, please speak directly with our team.
Root Canals
A root canal treatment is required when you have a tooth infection. The treatment allows us to remove the infected tissue inside the tooth, replace it with a substance called “gutta percha,” and close up the tooth, securing it with a dental restoration (usually a dental crown). These steps help save the tooth and prevent the spread of the infection.
Teeth Extractions
Tooth extractions are always a last resort, as it’s our goal to help preserve as many of your natural teeth as possible. However, there are some circumstances when it makes sense to remove a tooth or several teeth. Our dental offices are fully equipped to handle simple extractions, including wisdom tooth removal. If you have a troublesome tooth or you are concerned about your child’s teeth or wisdom teeth, book an appointment to learn more about your options.
